We met Amy back in 2015 when we were relocating to the Lake Norman area. She helped us narrow down what we were looking for in a home and led us to our first home. Later when we were looking for a second home as our family grew, she helped us sell and buy, so we’ve worked with her now three times over the years. Amy really met us where we were, and knew that we had a timeline, but also didn’t want to sacrifice on some of the things that we wanted in a home. She was genuine. She understood our budget, understood our situation, and showed us options. If you’re looking for someone with creativity and also that’s good at listening - listening to things that maybe you can’t articulate very well. That’s what Marty and Amy do really well. Marty and Amy understand this is a relationship business and not a one time transaction. And we really really appreciate that. And here we are years later and there’s no one else on my list, period.

Having them as a resource to not only trust, but to know that they live in the area and they do business in the area. And when you can just take what they’re saying and take it as trust. I mean there’s no other way to describe it besides just saying trust. And I don’t think there’s enough words that we could use to describe the pride we have working with them. And we think of them not only as our Brokers, they’re friends to us now.

Cottage Rental Collection was such a blessing! We had to temporarily leave our home due to mold making us sick - only to move into another rental that had mold (NOT a cottage property!). I ran across Cottage Rental while desperately trying to find a furnished home that allowed dogs and a shorter lease term…Amy and Marty were SO helpful. They were able to get a home furnished and ready for us within a week, even asking what furnishings / housewares we needed. They were so flexible, so easy to work with. Working with Marty and Amy, it definitely made real estate investing easier than I ever would have thought. Initially, I thought it was going to be a lot of work and a hundred percent would do it again. They brought me the deal. They were like, “This is the house you should buy.” They showed me a performa. They showed me this is the cash flow that you’ll end up, this is what you’re going to need to put in. I don’t really know how to make it any easier than that. I would definitely do this again 100%. I really needed someone that I could lean on for advice, and someone that if I was going to put money on the table, that essentially as frugal as I am, I could trust with my life and just right off the bat with Amy and Marty, I knew they were that team that I could take the leap of faith with. The interest in real estate has always been there, but I guess the knowledge and comfort with putting money on the line was never there until I formed the relationship with Amy and Marty, and knowing just how experienced and how much of a depth of an understanding they have not only of real estate, but specifically the market that I was looking to invest in. And so, that’s really what brought me comfort right off the bat was just knowing how genuine Amy and Marty are, and knowing that they’re never going to put me in a situation where my capital is going to be at risk, they almost view my capital and my investment as their own investment and they’re going to do anything that they can to make sure that I’m taken care of.

I’ve worked with many different real estate investors and real estate agents over the years, home flippers. And there’s a huge separation between what they do and what Marty and Amy do. Probably for a very similar budget or a little bit more, you get a lot more with Marty and Amy. They take your unit and really separate it from everything else in the neighborhood, everything else on the MLS, for sure. You would no doubt get your best return on investment with them. It’s just how they operate. You’re always going to get an over-delivery, you’re going to get more than you paid for, and you’re always going to get top tier of the market, anything they put their hands on.
