Marty has always called North Carolina home. Marty Briggs is known for his calm demeanor and team-oriented approach. In his past career he worked in the racing industry with many successful teams as a car builder, painter, and pit crew member, department manager, and branding and marketing. While it was a great career for over 20 years, he knew he wanted to do something for himself and take a new direction. To him, it felt like a solid move to use his experience in brand marketing and passion for design, to bring something new to the table. Marty transitioned from the world of NASCAR into the world of real estate and immediately found a niche working with investors. Starting out in the business as a buyer’s agent for a large property management company that was looking to purchase X number of properties per month gave him a solid foundation of understanding an investor’s mindset and taught him to run numbers and really analyze properties properly. Marty eventually transitioned to a management role within a large brokerage, and almost immediately realized the need and desire to work for himself in an even more entrepreneurial way.
Marty oversees Cottage Rental Collection, and works directly with all owners and tenants within the rental portfolio. He also works with new and existing investors to analyze and determine new investment opportunities to bring into the mix locally. For all refresh project properties, in collaboration with The Tailored Cottage, Marty project manages and seamlessly works in tandem with the amazing tradespeople who help bring the renovation visions to life. Marty + Amy have now become seasoned investors themselves, always looking for the next exciting investment opportunity.
When there’s a chance to relax for a few days, Marty looks forward to spending time with Amy and the pups in Southport or Oak Island. Nothing beats the low-key quiet time looking out at the marsh views, roasting oysters, and grilling locally caught fresh seafood. He also looks forward to boating and enjoying the salty air of the Intracoastal Waterway. He loves all things coastal!
